E-gold more secure now?
By acca | February 29, 2008
E-gold made some modifications to the E-gold Account User Agreement as of 11 February 2008. Previous agreement version contained:
3.7.2. Unless (I) otherwise approved by User or (II) ordered by a court or arbitration body of acceptable jurisdiction, as determined by Issuer, Issuer shall not reveal Users contact or identifying information or transaction history to any third party.
And now, that part looks like:
3.7.2. Unless (I) otherwise approved by User or (II) ordered by a court or arbitration body of acceptable jurisdiction, as determined by Issuer or (III) necessary, as determined by Issuer, to investigate suspected illegal activity or violations of the e-gold Account User Agreement to protect Issuer or Users, Issuer shall not reveal User’s contact or identifying information or transaction history to any third party.
So now, if there is suspicion about some scam, fraud or similar action, E-gold can give your information to third party. As many scammed users didn’t want to waste time on courts for some smaller amounts, now FBI and other services can inspect and get information only following suspicion. Hope that will lower egold scams on internet.
