Sell without selling
By acca | October 23, 2007
Websurfers are tired of emails and lots of offers on websites to buy or just try something unbelievable and perfect. That’s so-called old school with less success, especially on internet. Much more sells makes those who don’t act like sellers. They advice, recommend, endorse products on their websites.
First, you need to know your site’s visitors. What is their profile? What they like, what are their needs? Something about your visitors you can learn from website traffic analytic reports. You can see where they are coming from, what pages on your site have most visitors, what browsers they are using, what is their internet connection, … More you can learn if you put polls on website, with contact form, etc.
And be honest. There is no absolutely perfect product. When you are describing something on your site or blog, describe advantages but vices, too. Write about your experiences if you have. Write about product just like you’re talking to your best friend while you’re drinking coffee.
