To be A Guru Manager

By acca | January 11, 2008

guru manager I just read a book «To be a guru manager» by Zivojin Petrovic. It have potential, I must say. There is useful stuff for someone who just started manage some business but there is for old, experienced managers, too. If nothing else, to remind them on some basic facts important for managers. For internet managers who run some internet business, big website, online store or anything similar, too. It’s not revolutionary book. For people who read managing books, blogs, forums, who take related seminars, it’s almost impossible for book to be that one. But I see important and useful to read any internet, managing, marketing related book I came across. Every book is written on different way and can give us different angle of view on same things. That’s vary important.

I will note here few parts I see very interesting and useful from To Be A Guru Manager, Zivojin Petrovic book.

When guru manager set up his goal, he can distinguish what is possible and what’s not. He sets his goal a little higher than possible and little lower than unreal.

One who ask can be fool five minutes but one who never ask is fool whole life.

Imagine there is a bank that will give you 86.400 dollars every morning. Only condition is – all money you don’t spend during a day, they takes away from you. What will you do? Spending all. Spend 86.400 dollars day. Now, you see, you all have that bank. The life. The life gives you 86.400 seconds everyday. So, spend all seconds smart. Don’t loose a second.
